I started from home and walked to the beach in Pacific Beach. It is around 4 miles to the beach from my house and it is mostly shops, taco stands, bars, and apartments. I took Garnet St most of the way - here is a picture from when I was almost to the beach:
The beach was packed! It was a typical San Diego summer day - 80 & sunny. I wished I was sitting on the beach instead of just walking by, but I kept going.

I covered most of the area around Mission Bay:
I passed by The Dana, where Tom & I got married almost two years ago now:
Fishermen in the San Diego River:
Finally, just under 10 miles later I arrived at the prize. Tom was meeting me at South Beach in OB for dinner at the *best* fish taco place in the city where fish tacos were invented. I would have taken a picture of the taco but I ate it too quickly.

The walk went pretty fast since I had downloaded several Podcasts to listen to on the way. It took just over three hours to go the ten miles. There was so much to look at along the way so I hardly noticed how long it took. There are some interesting things to see in the beach areas of San Diego.
